From Margaret River, August, 2004

Dear Friends

Rarely do we get the opportunity to gather with like-minded souls in a beautiful natural setting for inner and outer nourishment, with delicious food, powerful energy, those thoughtful little touches and the collective desire to open to something deeper. That is what we experienced at our first Moondance Wellness Retreat ‘Being with Brugh’ in June this year.

Twenty-two of us, including those experienced with inner work as well as newcomers seeking self-nourishment and the chance to deepen, gathered to share this rich time together. The common thread was our response to the impulse to open to the energy of the land at Moondance Lodge and the teachings of Brugh Joy, an international master Teacher. The 4 day/3 night retreat commenced with an optional morning meditation and three sessions daily with afternoons free for dozing, being in nature and exploring the surrounds or simply relaxing. A highlight and deeply touching experience for us all in the circle was the powerfully grounding force of tribal Aboriginal didgeridoo and story telling. Vilma, the tribal elder of the local Wardan coastal tribe, Vivian and her son Josh honoured us with their presence, creating a potent link to the ancient past.

Exploring dreams, meditation and connectedness through sacred community "Being with Brugh" was a deeply inspiring and nourishing experience for us all.

Participants gathered from Hong Kong, Singapore, Perth and the local Margaret River region and the excitement of these four days is now spreading through the local and international communities.

Due to the wonderful feedback received about Being With Brugh 2004, bookings are already being taken for the 2005 conferences, of which there will be two. The first is an introductory weekend for those new to heart centered inner work from Friday 8 to Sunday 10 July 2005. This conference is titled "Being With Brugh, an introduction to Healing and the Heart Centre."

The second conference is "Deepening with Brugh, a Journey towards Wholeness" and it will be held on Monday July 11 to Sunday July 17. This is a longer and deeper conference for those who have previously participated in a Brugh conference.

An exciting result of the Brugh Joy conference is ‘The Ecstacy of Everyday life’ wellness retreat being conducted by one of the participants last month, David O’Rose. He is a Hong Kong based psychotherapist and teacher of Heart-Centred Transformation and was so struck, as was his wife Laksmi, by the power concentrated around Moondance that he asked us to organise a residential weekend for 18-21 August. The integration of sensuality and spirituality is a fundamental theme of his course. Through depth psychology, energy transmission and exploration of bonding patterns, you will learn to embrace ecstacy everyday and see sensuality as a metaphor for life.

If you are at all interested please email or call me for further details. I look forward to sharing more news of our enriching events at Moondance.

With love
